Anthony Simon Fun Facts

  • Karl Anthony Simon, PA-C, is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston. He finished in the top 5% of his graduating class.

  • Anthony Simon participated in the 2003 Collegiate Baseball World Series and was named an Academic All-American.

  • Anthony is an avid sportfisherman, fishing in inshore and offshore locations. He and his family have traveled to some of the hottest sportfishing destinations in the world, including Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, and Venice, Louisiana.

  • Anthony was married in 2009 and has three children. He spends as much time outdoors with his children as he can.

  • As a native of Houston, Texas, Anthony cheers for his local professional sports teams the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans. Much of his extended family is from southwestern Louisiana. As a result, he is also a fan of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints and the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers.

  • During his graduate Physician Assistant program, Anthony authored a research paper entitled “Lead Poisoning in Galveston Children.” The paper won top Masters Thesis Research Project in his graduating class at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

  • Anthony Simon spends his off time during the winters engaged in waterfowl hunting, targeting geese and ducks in both the Texas coast and south Louisiana regions. He has been hunting since the age of 7.
