Accessories

Keylite's accessory range provides items to enhance the installation, operation and maintenance of our Roof Windows. All accessories come with a 3 year hassle free guarantee.

Opening Pole

Opening Poles are available in two or three metres in length. Useful for operating roof windows and/or blinds out of reach.

When using a Keylite Opening Pole to operate a Centre Pivot roof window, the instrument has been specially designed to be used as follows:

1. Stand towards the bottom of your roof window
2. Raise the Opening Pole vertically, ensuring it is approx at a 45° angle to the roof window
3. Attach the claw end of the Opening Pole to the Opening handle and ease the pole downwards to open (ease the Pole upwards to close)

Opening Restrictor

Our Opening Restrictors are retro fitted to the frame of the roof window, only allowing an opening gap to reach a maximum of 50mm. Due to fire safety regulations, Keylite are prohibited from fitting opening restrictors onto any of our Fire Escape roof windows.

Security Locks

Security Locks ensure extra safety in a room where a roof window is easily accessible. Once secured, the key provided can re-release the window. Due to fire safety regulations, Keylite are prohibited from fitting security locks onto any of our Fire Escape roof windows.

Maintenance Kits

Maintenance Kits

Keylite Maintenance Kits are supplied with a range of products that can be used to conduct the following remedial works:

• Repair a scratch to the timber
• Replace the Hood Flashings air filter
• Lubricate the Frame Hinges
• Paint your White roof window(s)
• Apply a shiny new coat of clear lacquer to your Pine roof window(s)
• Repair a scratch to the external flashing components

White Finish (MK WF)

Our Keylite White Finish Maintenance Kit includes:

• Sandpaper

Pine Finish (MK CL)

Our Keylite Pine Finish Maintenance Kit includes:

• Grease

Ease of Use

Included within all Maintenance Kits is a simplistic step by step user manual to ensure minor works can be completed without the need for a skilled tradesperson.

Application

Keylite Maintenance Kits should be applied where necessary. Neglect of correct maintenance practices on the roof windows and flashings could result in the warranty of the product(s) being void.

Enhanced Installation

Felt Collar (FC)

The Keylite Felt Collar is manufactured from a flexible material that creates an impenetrable surrounding around the roof window. This unites with the under-felt of the roof to ensure a watertight seal.

Vapour Collar (VC)

The Keylite Vapour Collar enhances the air tightness around your Keylite Roof Window. This prevents the opportunity of vapour passing through your roof construction.

Support Trimmers

Support Trimmers

Keylite support trims can be supplied separately to provide a streamlined finish for our roof window systems. They can be supplied in the following widths:

• 18mm
• 50mm
• 100mm

Designed to offer increased structural support, these trimmers are most commonly provided alongside Combination Roof Window Systems. In circumstances where two or more windows are to be situated side by side these internal trims can be used to enhance the overall aesthetic finish from inside the room.
