Step #1 of installing Atom

Visit atom.io, and click Download

Step #2 of installing Atom

Once the file is downloaded, execute it.

If the browser doesn't show it, look at the Downloads folder.

Step #3 of installing Atom

You'll see a popup animation window during the installation.

It takes a while. Do something else while you're waiting.

Step #4 of installing Atom

Once the installation is done, Atom will automatically be launched.

If you see this blue box, just delete it by clicking x.

Now click File in the menu bar and select Settings

The Settings tab shows up to the right.

Type "script" in the search field.

The script package will show up just below. Click Install.

It takes a while until installation is done. Do something else in the meantime.

Step #10 of installing Atom

Once the installation is done, the Install button will disappear.

Now you're ready to use Atom for the course!
