Ted Blenkers - Ship Inspection

Ted Blenkers - Ship Inspection

Ted Blenkers can be described as a sea captain, ships captain, captain, master, or
shipmaster.
He is a licensed mariner who has complete responsibility for everything
happening on the vessel. Ted is responsible for the safety and efficiency of all the
issues on the vessel including the ship’s seaworthiness, security, operations
management of crewmembers, any legal issues, navigation processes, and cargo
management.

Normally you should not have to inspect the cargo or take samples on a ship, but if you have to do it, always make sure that the captain, the crew and any other operator nearby are aware of what you are going to do.

These instructions are only intended to provide a summary of the safety hazards that can be found when working on ships and other ships.

* You must know these dangers and avoid dangerous situations.
* You must not access an area of a ship that is not open to the public without specific permission and, if necessary, without supervision.
* In the event that a recognized danger is unavoidable, you should not continue if you do not have the proper training, the necessary instructions and, when necessary, the corresponding permission of the captain or the owners of the ship.
