... a thing no one says that I didn't catch in time to make a correction. So, pretend this says something like "identifiers for researchers" or "persistent identifiers for researchers" or something like that because those exist and we can talk about them a little bit. We have a few minutes.
you know what, actually, let's talk about sharing our work. that's maybe the closest we can get.
it's good, it makes sense. there are persistent identifiers for people. and you use them in the sharing of your work. honestly, it's understandable that we'd get those two things mixed up. but the personal ≠ persistent. but the personal is political. lol did i just make a, like, reference to early 90s mtv? yes. i did. 💯 surprise! what a time to be alive, that was. hoo boy. hoo-ie.
A little context.
The odds are good that you're going to want to share some of these things with folks.
The whole point of scholarship is for, at least, some people to see your work and for your work to make some kind of difference.
Right? Yes?

They are not unlike a CV.
They're sort of like academic 🔥tinder but, instead of being about hook-ups, it's about your research/career.

Make sure you check publisher policies to see what you're signing away.
Make sure you check to see what you're allowed by the publisher to share.
Think about what you want to share and where it is best to share it.
