Basic concepts of AWS services

What is ECS?
- Elastic Container Service
- Highly scalable, high-performance container orchestration service
- Let you host your services in serverless infrastructure
- Fargate - Containers without servers

Has three main components:
- Elastic Container Registry
- Clusters
- Task Definitions

What is S3?
- Simple Storage Service
- Can be use to host a static website

What is Cloudfront?
- A content delivery network (CDN), that uses a network of edge location to cache copies of content.
- We will use this to serve Angular application from S3.
- Benefits
- improves load time
- eliminates single point of failure
- scalable
- cost effective



What is Codepipeline?
- A continuous delivery service to model, visualize, and automate the steps required to release your software.
- Supports zero downtime deployment.
