Ahhhh, I am so, so glad you are here! I love sharing about Savvy Minerals. I have lots to tell you about.

Before we have our class, I thought I would tell you a bit about me.

My husband and I have been married for 35 years and spent the first 20 years of our marriage moving around while he was an Air Force pilot. Now my husband has retired from the AF and flies for Southwest Airlines. For more than 15 years, we’ve lived in East Tennessee in the small town he calls his hometown. We have four grown children and one grandchild. Our youngest just graduated from college - yea! I got my kit in 2016 and began doing the business side in 2017. I have reached the rank of Silver. My daughter is an Exec under me and we have such a great time doing life and this business together. My husband and two sons are also members using the products and loving them. In Young Living, I have found not only a great company to work for but also a fantastic community of support and friends. I'm here tonight to share a bit about my love of Savvy Minerals with you.

As part of my wellness journey, as I was switching and ditching, there came a point where I began to look at the ingredients in the makeup I was using. Not.Good. Have you ever done that? I knew I had to find something else, but where would I go? I was heading to convention and when asked what I thought would be new products and I quickly said, “Makeup”. It was wishful thinking and I had no way of really knowing it would be true. But it was!! Savvy Minerals was introduced at convention in 2017. I bought the entire line!! I wanted to share it with everyone.

I brought all my Savvy Minerals home and I fell in LOVE. I also had several Savvy classes and had others fall in love with it as well. You will too. In this class, we will look at all of our Savvy Minerals products and brushes too.

Even though I have been using ‘good’ makeup since I was 17 and was trained as a Beauty Consultant - nearly 40 years ago - over the years, my skin would have issues and I would have to look for something that didn’t cause problems. I had no idea it was the ingredients in my makeup - especially as I was spending tons of money for those ‘good’ products.

Savvy Minerals Brushes
Don’t overlook one of the most important elements in your makeup case - professional makeup brushes.


It's truly amazing how much better your makeup can look just by using the right brushes.

The Savvy Starter Kit comes with one Foundation brush. It has long, fluffy, soft bristles made to distribute loose powder evenly across your face without dispensing too much product and making your makeup look dry or cake-y. You could also get away with applying blush or bronzer with this brush until you get your own full set of Savvy brushes, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Misting Spray is 100% needed when you are using mineral makeup. It prevents the powder from just resting on the tiny hairs on your face. It allows your foundation to stay on longer and provide a smooth, airbrushed appearance on your skin, all while nourishing and freshening your skin. It also feels so great going on with the Misting Spray! Mineral makeup can feel rough if applied dry.

The Misting Spray also keeps the minerals from going deep into your brush, keeping the minerals more on the tip. That means less mess and less loss of product. Your minerals are more available to go on your face.

Using the Misting Spray creates a foiling application. Foiling means that the pigments in the minerals bind together making them more vibrant. They also have a foil-like appearance, standing on the surface of your skin with a slight sheen.




The Misting spray is made with pure essential oils like:

DIRECTIONS:
Spray 2–3 pumps of Misting Spray onto a makeup brush and gently tap on the back of your hand so there isn’t any excess moisture. Pick up mineral makeup using the brush. Tap the brush on the edge of your lid so excess minerals fall back in the lid. Apply mineral makeup to your face in desired area in circular motions. Once the minerals have baked or dried slightly, you can reapply as needed. The minerals are buildable for more coverage.


NOTE: This is NOT a setting spray. You do not need a setting spray with Savvy Minerals makeup.


Foundation smooths your skin tone providing a uniform color perfect to build upon.


The variety of shades and colors offers something for everyone. In each color set, there are a range of shades, starting with the lightest at 1 and growing darker as the numbers get higher. Cool and Warm range from 1-3, while Dark also has a 4.

The colors are forgiving, making it easy to match online and you can blend colors to get your perfect match from season to season. I recommend getting two or three shades so you can use them throughout seasonal changes, even mixing two to help transition from season to season and create your custom shade.



How do we choose our color? One misconception is that pale-skinned girls can’t be warm-toned. In fact, many fair-skinned women have warm undertones (Nicole Kidman is one of them!) and dark-skinned women have cool tones (supermodel Alek Wek is a cool tone.) Set your preconceptions about your skin tone aside and use these guidelines to determine which shade is best for you.

Let’s do this fun little quiz and you can keep track on a piece of paper.


1. Check Your Veins.
Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. Are they green or blue/purple?
Warm = Greenish
Cool = Blue/purple

2. Natural undertones.
Your skin's undertone is the color underneath the surface. You can have the same skin color as someone else, but a different undertone. Undertones are broken down like this:
Warm = yellow, peachy, golden undertones
Cool = pink, red or bluish undertones

3. The Jewelry Trick.
Think about whether you look better in silver or gold jewelry.
Warm = gold
Cool = silver/platinum


4. Favorite colors to wear.
Think about what neutral shades flatter you best. Do your eyes, skin, and face look better in browns and tans? Or bright white or black hues?
Warm = browns/tans
Cool = white/black

5. The Sun’s Effects.
When you’re out in the sun, does your skin turn a golden brown, or does it burn and turn pink first?
Warm = Golden-brown
Cool = Burn easily


6. Eye and Hair Color.
Your natural eye and hair colors can help you figure out your coloring. Customarily, warm-toned women usually have brown, amber, or hazel eyes with strawberry blonde, red, brown, or black hair. Their hair tends to have gold, red, orange, or yellow undertones. Conversely, cool people have eyes that are blue, gray, or green and have blond, brown, or black hair with blue, silver, violet and ash undertones.

Maybe you are a mix in these answers. You may be more of a NEUTRAL. The Warm foundations might be best for you.

APPLICATION TIP:
Before applying your foundation, start with a clean face that has had toner, serum, and moisturizer applied. You will also want to consider our Matte or Hydrating Primer to prime your face prior to your foundation. Then, tap mineral foundation into your lid, mist your Foundation brush, then apply your foundation in a circular motion all over your face, blending into your hairline and past your jawline and onto your neck to avoid a line at your jawline. If you need more coverage in particular areas, reapply to those areas. Remember, the minerals are buildable. Allow to set between applications, then reapply for more coverage overall.

Blush, Bronzers and Veil

BLUSH:

TIPS TO APPLY BLUSH:
Apply blush with the Blush brush. You can use the Misting Spray or not. Try without first and see if you like that affect. Try another time with Misting Spray and see if you like that better. Start at the apple of your cheek and brush upward along the cheekbone towards the ear. If you have a round face, apply to just the apple of the cheeks.

BRONZER:

DIRECTIONS
- Apply ‘Best kept secret’ to entire eyelid as a primer. (This comes in every Savvy PSK)
- Choose the medium to light shade and apply for the lower lid color.
- Choose the medium to darker shade and apply right above the eye socket into the crease of the eyelid.
- Give a highlight and make those eyes shine with the lightest shade from your PSK. Apply a small amount to the inside corner of your eye and a little right below your eyebrow crease.

TIPS TO APPLY EYESHADOWS:
Wet your Eyeshadow brush with the Misting spray or on a Savvy Makeup Remover cloth before you apply the eyeshadow. This is called foiling. "Foiling" is mixing a liquid with your minerals to deepen the mineral's color and hold it onto your skin…even better than it stays already. This creates a more solid, uniform, and pigmented look. Dry or foiled - you can change up your look!

TIPS FOR BROWS:
Using the angled brush end of the Eyeliner brush, fill in your brows with your Multi-tasker shade that matches best. Using the Brow brush, blend the color in.
