Card Game for Content-Building & Revision Strategies
In Week 4 pull up Murray's Nine Steps for Meaning-Making Reading.
Everyone is dealt a CARD FACE-DOWN for each round. Look at your card and then read the description from our Murray Reading to think about what you will say about the content in your Literacy Narrative or reflect on your writing strategy. After everyone takes a turn you shuffle the cards again. If you get a repeat, draw an unused card or trade.
Getting Started...
You can only SCORE points by Discussing what your CARD means and how you use that principle within your own writing for the Literacy Narrative. You can also suggest how you would APPLY this concept to build on any draft of writing.
Role the TWO DIE AFTER YOU GIVE YOUR EXAMPLE IN GROUP DISCUSSION. Record your scores on the score sheet.
