• Mondays, 6:30–7:30 PM
• Shannon Park Chalet
• Occasional special events on weekends
• Always announced well in advance!

Uniform

• Brown beaver vest — required
• White shirt — any white shirt
• Blue bucket hat — optional
• Neckerchief (“necker”)
• Group purchase info will be sent
• Hand-me-downs may be available

Badges and Crests

• Uniform badges vs. activity crests
• Uniform badges go on the vest
• Specific areas of the vest
• Diagram will be provided
• Or search “beaver scout uniform badge placement”
• Activity crests go onto campfire blanket

Pack it up

To Bring to Meetings

• Daypack with:
  • water bottle
  • first aid kit
  • emergency snack
  • emergency contact card
• Headlamp if going outside

Who's running the show

Meet the Scouters

• 5 volunteer adult leaders, each with an animal-themed name
• All kids call us by those names
• This way there's no “dads” or “moms”
• Additional volunteers always welcome!

SAFETY

Two-Scouter Rule

At least two Scouters are always present in every interaction with the youth. No exceptions allowed (except dire emergencies).

Out and about

Camps & Activities

• Fall camp for older beaver scouts
• Winter camp indoors (holiday slumber party)
• Spring camp for all
• Camps happen in all weather

Pack the essentials

Gear for Camps

• Child's sleeping bag
• Underlay foam mat
• Sleeping bag not needed for indoor camps
• Full checklist will be provided
• Make sure you pack with your scout, not for them!
