• No class next Thursday!
  Physics colloquium on AI and Math

• Research Proposal due Oct 4: 1 page  (figures don't count against the page limit)

• Take 100 steps back. Most important, why  are you doing this?? Goal #1: Get the reader excited

• Don't give a review of the field, focus on why YOU care about it

• Write one idea per paragraph. Think of the flow first, then write

• Diagrams/figures can be very helpful. Even if handwritten! Goal #2: Help the reader understand your proposed solution

• Goal #3: Give evidence that this may be a good way to think about the problem
