Lip Sync Evaluation

Shot Types

Some of the most common shot types in music videos are:

  • Establishing shots
  • Extreme Close Ups
  • Mid Shots
  • Tracking Shots

All of which have been included in the video (as shown to the right).

Base Tracks

Base tracks are made up of one take of the entire track (the entire song filmed from start to finish) which is inter-cut throughout the video.

Most songs have lots of base tracks (from different angles and shot types) and are useful for a sense of progression through the song. They are also good to create markers when editing the video.

Base Tracks

Here are some of our base tracks. We have used these particular shot types and angles because they are commonly used in music videos.

Lining up Base Tracks

In order to line up the base tracks - we identified a specific staccato sound in the song which was audible in all of our footage. This was a useful marker.
