Child labor happening in world

Child labor is the use of children in industry or business, especially when illegal.

Was child labor really considered as a crime in the past? 

No , from my research I didn't got any information but from it many times it said that more than 114 million child labors were there in Asia and North America. If the amount of child labor is so high than definitely people didn't child labor as a crime.

What were the reasons that children were made to work? What were the different types of work/labor that they had to do?

What are the reasons now, in today’s time, that children are made to work? Are the reasons different from the past ?

• Some of the reasons were that the child labor didn't had much money to fill their tummy so they need to work.

• The other point is that some owners kidnapped them and say them to do their work.

• The different types of work were harvesting:

• bananas in Ecuador

• cotton in Egypt and Benin

• cut flowers in Colombia

• oranges in Brazil

• cocoa in the Ivory Coast

• tea in Argentina and Bangladesh

• fruits and vegetables in the U.S

No, Some of the reasons are same because still in many countries they kidnapped the children and make them do their work.

The other new reason in that the debt of the family.

Was there any action taken to stop this in the past? What were the people’s reactions (past) towards it?

No, there wasn't any strict actions taken because none  of the people was aware that this is a wrong thing and we should stop it.  

How do people react to it now?

People take it very seriously because it's a big crime and if the person who is caught doing child labor they go in jail.So most of them don't do it.

It is connected to this because in that poem the children were sold in a very small age to work as childlabor in chimney.But still had faith that someone will take out of this prision.
