Music Video Concept
The vibe
The vibe we want to put across is a happy one. This is due to pop videos videos conventionally always giving a good vibe therefore it is conventional that we give of a happy vibe. There are several ways that we are going to put across this vibe, a way to make this possible is by the artist (performed) continuously smiling throughout and always moving whether it is dancing or it is some sort of narration, otherwise it could possibly bore the viewer and make the performer come across as dull.
The editing
For the editing we want there to be a lot of shots which match the flow of the beat. So when the beat speeds up, the cuts of the shots will speed up to. This is used so that the audience is not bored as if there was to be all the shots cutting at the same rate. We will try to put in some effects so that it is also more enjoyable to watch. We will use cross cutting to also ensure tht the person watching doe not get bored.
The feel
We want the feel of the video to be heart warming and not too serious. We want the audience to feel like they can relate to the artist and feel the same emotions as the artist. We want the video to be uplifting and romantic. Therefore we have to try and create a relationship between the artist and the actress. We want the audience to feel that they understand how both of them feel towards each other.
We want the characters to come across as a person with a bright, happy and soft personality, we will do this by using bright colors. A way that we can do this is through the use of mise en scene, the clothing we use within the music video will help to represent the way the performers personality is. The usage of bright colours will help to represent this. For example, one item that we will be using is a white top, this will be used to present the persons personality as bright as the colour white has the connotations of innocent, happy and positive.
