Boost recycling!

The waste problem

On average, each European produces 500Kg of household waste per year and only 40% of them are recycled or reused

Sources: Eurostat and Review of Waste Policy and Legislation

Solution

Encourage to recycle

600K

150K

EU target for recycling 65% of waste and reduce landfill to maximum of 10% of municipal waste by 2035

1st Difficulty: Lack of information

Very hard to find information about how, when and where to recycle any waste we produce in our day-to-day life

Facilitate Information

1. Enter your city/town or use your current location

2. Select waste type or take a photo to detect it

3. Select your nearest recycling spot to get information

4. Do action: call, open website with more info, navigate, notify an issue, etc.

Facilitate more information

Send awareness-raising campaigns in your city/town and tips

Send alerts from mobile recycling center or pick-up service in the area

CO2 Calculator

Calculate and share how much CO2 emissions you avoid on recycling/reusing your waste

1 Kg of CO2 is equivalent to the amount of CO2 absorbed by 50 trees in one day

6 Kg of avoided CO2 emissions is equivalent to a car not circulating during one day

Difficulty: Lack of motivation

Goal

Incentivize recycling

Earn rewards points every time you go to the recycling center, use the pick-up services or drop your waste off into specialized containers

Redeem the points by discounts in municipal taxes, vouchers to use in local businesses, local activities or direct payments

Compete with other users through rankings and receive awards and recognition for being committed

Gamification

Virtual Card

Two ways to earn rewards points

1. Go to recycling center and authorized personnel assigns you the points corresponding to delivered waste just scanning your QR code

2. Go to specialized container/bin, take a photo of the waste you are dropping off and verification system assigns you the points. This system is based on image recognition, geolocation and QR code scan.

Open Data

We have more than 65K recycling spots registered in the app and located in many cities throughout Europe: Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Hamburg, Lisbon, Oxford, Brno, Berlin, etc.

What are you waiting for to boost recycling?
