Introducing a Web 2.0 Tool: Slide.ly

Step One: Create an account

Firstly, go to http://slide.ly. There you will create an account and sign in. 

Click "Sign Up" or "Sign In" in the top right corner in order to sign up or sign into the website.

Step Two: Choosing your Layout

To create your Slidely presentation, you will first choose one of the following layouts:

Slidely Show: Creates slideshow videos

Slidely Collage: Creates a presentation of a collection of photos

Slidely Gallery:  Creates a gallery of photos

Slidely Gallery: Takes your photos and turns it into a movie

Promo for Business: Creates marketing videos for Business

Although all the layouts make different videos, creating a Slidely is all quite similar.

Step Three: Choosing your Photos 

Next, choose your photos from the different platforms available, which are Facebook, Getty Images, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, and uploaded images from your personal computer. You must add at least one photo before moving on. After, click "next" to move on.

Step Four: Choosing Your Tunes

Now, choose the song you want playing in the background of your Slidely Video. There are different media platforms that are available, which are YouTube, Soundcloud, Dropbox, Slidely's Playlist, and uploaded media from your personal computer. You must choose a song before proceeding to the next step.

 

Click the "+" to quickly add your song

Click the play button beside the plus sign to preview a song. To add the song click "use this song".

Step Five: Preview

After you choose your choice of music, you are directly transferred to the preview of your Slidely video. Here you can see and choose a theme for your video.For example, there is a Zoom Snow theme that animates falling snowflakes into the video. You must choose a theme before proceeding to the next step.

This Slidely video is using the theme Zoom Snow.

Step Six: Save and Publish 

Finally, to save your completed video click "Save my Slidely". Now, your work is published for you to present or share with your friends with Facebook or Twitter.
