What are Income Taxes?

Taxes are used by the government in order to pay for public services therefore improving everyone's lives. It helps improve services like :
- Law Enforcement
- Hospitals, Ambulances
- Military
- Repairing National Highways
- Space Exploration

Income taxes apply to anyone of all of ages who has an income.

Income taxes are taken from your income. Additionally, a high income means that you will have higher taxes, which means if you have a low income you have lower taxes.

Even casual jobs are considered earned income by the Canadian government. This is called other income and the government must be informed about it as well. Other income jobs include:
- mowing lawns
- babysitting
- snow shoveling
Conclusion
Taxes may not be something we like to do, but it is essential in improving our community.
