Our final idea that our group has chosen is the following:
The main concept of the video is around a 'dream' theme. It will switch from a disjuncture (dream) to a performance of the band playing. We found that this is what the majority of our genre used in their videos as it comes across to the audience as "arty" and "unique". The idea behind the dream is that it would replicate a "trip" that you get when you are on drugs, a trip is something unusual that you cant experience being sober, some people describe it as being memorable. During the "trip" objects ranging from animals to smoke will be used to signify that they are "tripping". We have also thought of the idea that we will fill balloons with glitter, flowers and paint and burst them. We were then thinking of using different edits too enhance this shot like a slow - mo.

Rejected Ideas
Some of our rejected ideas included:
- GIANTS - there would be giants walking in a forest to signify the trip you would go on if you was on drugs and is also part of the disjuncture of the music video. Then they would fall through the floor and land in a black space and then the band would awake and start playing (performance). We decided to opt out of this idea because we didn't have the right software. The values and beliefs of our band didn't fit in with this idea as giants are angry and our band believe in happiness and peace. Also we thought that our preferred idea represented our band better as it included key iconography including a range of colours and effects that were realistic to perform.
- Green Screen: The next idea we had was to use the green screen so we could create "another word" relating to the trip. This would have included a magic carpet to signify the madness that you feel when your on drugs as something unnatural happens. We decided against this idea because it wasn't possible to achieve and it wouldn't have turned out to the best quality. We looked at a music video which solely used a green screen and it was of a different genre, 80's dance/electro music - Groove Is In The Heart.
Our Band
Attitude/Behaviour
The attitude of our band will be careless and laid-back, quite quirky and different to the majority of people, promoting uniqueness. They are relaxed people who have no worry about what is happening in the wold or the reaction to their action because they live in the now rather than the past or worrying about the future.
Values
The band believe in complete equality, no matter the person's gender, race, sexuality or class. They believe in the free use of drugs without restrictions and freedom of speech, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and decision. The belief in a free society.
Fashion
Our band will wear old style hippie clothing such as tie dye shirts, bucket hats, floral patterns, unbuttoned shirts and loose clothing in general to represent their loose attitude to life and their relaxed behaviour.
Comparison to other artists/genres
Similar to other artists of this genre, our band will be living in the now and not care about what has happened or what will happen. Our band will have a similar appearance to other bands of this genre, for example Ocean Alley, Sticky Fingers, Wild Belle. These bands will be our inspiration to emulate them but put our own personal twist to their behaviour and how they are portrayed.
Our Band
Wylde Thyme
Our band will be called Wylde Thyme.
This represents the band as being earthy and natural.
It is an alternative take on Wild Time, the spelling of "Wild" is in Old English and therefore represents the individuality of the group.
We decided to use the alternative spelling of Thyme to represent their interest in drugs, which links to the theme of the video, because Thyme is a cooking herb and Cannabis is a flowering herb.
