Ancillaries

Digipaks

A digipak is designed to hold a CD. They are normally made out of cardboard/strong card, instead of plastic, because it can have more panels for information.

Digipaks consist of 4-8 panels, which allows it to have more information and images on it but it also allows for another CD to be put in it.

They are usually seen as 'special' or 'limited edition' or even a 'collectors set'. This is because they contain additional material, a special disk, lyrics, a booklet and maybe a poster. Due to them being 'special edition' the price is usually slightly higher than a regular CD, however, the fans are willing to pay this higher price for some extra content.

Magazine Advert

A magazine advert is another from of promotional content. It is usually an A4 sized page in a magazine (mostly music magazines), which advertises the song/album's release date or tour dates. The images on the advert, usually relate to the digipak and promo as it is a use of synergy. They also include important information about how to get the product and any social media synergy links. The magazine advert must be appealing to the ready and must display the information clearly.

Our Ancillaries

Both our magazine advert and digipak link together through synergy and also with the actual promo. We did this as it is the biggest convention for advertisement and it would look more appealing.
