Riot Rat

Develop an app is like playing puzzle these days

We are overwhelmed with Tools, Friendly IDEs, Online References, 3rd party libs, snippets and make Google + Stackoverflow are dev's best friend

The beginning is always hard

and Idea is a cheapest thing

Start developing your app with not proven problem is a bad beginning

Fortune reported the “top reason” that startups fail: “They make products no one wants.” A careful survey of failed startups determined that 42% of them identified the “lack of a market need for their product” as the single biggest reason for their failure.

Start by finding a problem, do some researches, validate it, get the solution and be brave to execute it

The end of your app in the market

Or

People don't care about how  damn good your app or your solution is, they only care about their problem

Idea is the cheapest thing. The differences are in execution

An epic cycle

Frii, comma

“Walaupun kamu merasa idemu adalah ide yang paling cemerlang, sehebat apapun ide itu tidak akan berhasil kalau ternyata penggunamu tidak berpikiran sama. Yang paling penting adalah apa yang penggunamu pikirkan. Apakah sama dengan yang kamu pikirkan atau ternyata justru 180º berkebalikan? Ini sangat menentukan kesuksesan produkmu”

Create an app = create a business,

Business = money

Dont wait till perfect. Launch a minimum viable product (MVP) as soon as possible is a must

Coding is only part of Software Development

The hard thing is not only on coding process but in managing all developers to achieve a meassurable targets (deliverable).

Use SCRUM as your main methodology and there are many collaboration tools that can be used.

Coding, Coding and Coding

  • Use the coding best practice and make your code readable and maintaiable. Read : Uncle Bob Clean Code and Clean Coder
  • Good algorithm will be difference
  • Create a delightful User Interface and User Experience
  • Use VCS or SCM such as Git, SVN, or  Mercury
  • Choose a realible weapon (Do with your very familiar tools, language or IDE)
  • For mobile : Native is better than 3rd party :D
  • Learn something new, Tools grow rapidly and keep challenge you and your team to do more better in every version of your app

You have to delight users
