How to Install a Firestone Rubber Roof

STEP 1

Begin by stripping off current roof back to bare decking with new ply

STEP 2

Remove arris rails from any open edges, fit 2” x 1” timber batten around the perimeter

STEP 3

Begin laying RubberCover EPDM in the correct position then wait 20 minutes for it to set in place

STEP 4

Fold over one half of the membrane back after it has been stirred. Once done, apply water-based adhesive to the deck. Repeat this on the other half of the roof. Make sure you that sweep out any bubbles to smooth out the rubber

STEP 5

Using the RubbaSeal spray adhesive, apply thinly to both rubber and upstand

STEP 6

Then use primer and 9” flashing tape to seal where the roof abuts the build

STEP 7

Fix RubbaTrim to the roof of the perimeter circumference matching the corners and joiners using colour coded poly nails

STEP 8

Install the wall trim to rear and your roof is complete!
