Music Video Concept

Editing

The editing that will be done in the video is cutting the shots to the beat of the music and also speeding up the cuts of the shots when the beat speeds up. This will be done to ensure that i have a variety of shot durations so that the viewer does not get bored whereby if i was to have all the shots at the same duration then the artist would get bored.

Cameawork

There will be a lot of close up and mid shots, but also variying with other types of shots. This will also be done to not bore the viewer whereby if i constantly used the same shots then the viewer would get bored. Close ups and mid shots would be used so that the farm is mainly focused on the artist as it enables the artist to stand out more.

Lighting

The lighting will be bright most of the time as the song we have is a bright and happy one therefore we want the scene to be bright to send across a good vibe. The high key lighting will also be good as it is a typical convention of a pop music video.

Costume

The costume will mainly be bright colours. White is a good colour to use as it has positive connotations to it. A white top will definitely be used as it has bright representations and will send across a good vibe about the personality of the artist.

Mise en scene

Target audience

The target audience for out music video will be people that enjoy music videos in general. It will also be for people who enjoy listening to music by Olly Murs. 

Setting

For the setting we will definitely use shots done with a green screen. For the other shots some could possibly be inside and some could be outside depending on the lyrics being sung.
