- We'll talk about how you scored yourself compared to how I would score you
- We'll look through your Seesaw portfolio
- You will propose a grade for yourself for homework and for classwork

You have 15 minutes to upload any additional work to Seesaw and to fill out the self-evaluation.

What are we doing right now?
- First fill out the blue and the pink sections in your organizer (the IDEAS sections).
Just write the ideas you plan to use - no quotes yet!
- Then, go back and find actual quotes from The Innocence Project and from Monster. Write those quotes in the green and purple sections. Remember to cite!
I will be calling each of you up for a 3-minute grade conference while we are working.
I will not be available to answer questions during conferences; you'll have to put on your big brains and figure it out.

(When you first start, your buckets may be loosely defined; as you refine your ideas, the focus of each one should become clearer.)

Choose one of your possible arguments and create a Toulmin outline for it. Submit that outline on Classroom.

When you finish, continue working on refining your arguments, bucketing your evidence, and identifying possible rebuttals (concessions & redemptions).

What are we doing right now?
- Go to https://padlet.com/mshessler/sources
- Find your group
- Create ONE post in your group
- Where it says "What were your topics?", write the topics you presented on
- Where it tells you to paste in your bibliography, paste in your whole annotated bibliography (don't worry about the formatting).
By the end, each group should have created one post with their topics and bibliography in it.
How does Lord of the Flies reflect the social values of the mid-20th century?
You may not use ANY sources that analyze Lord of the Flies or its connection to the real world.
That part needs to be entirely your own thinking; otherwise, it will be an immediate ZERO for plagiarism.
What are we doing right now?

- Figure out which topics you can make the strongest connections to.
- Start researching to figure out those connections.
- You are welcome to use your peers' sources and annotated bibliographies to help guide you.
For now, put all of your research in a Doc. Remember to keep track of where you're getting your information from!
