Policy
- ALL 18/19 timetable lectures are scheduled to be automatically recorded with Panopto.
- To opt-out of lecture recording, you must submit a lecture capture opt-out form.
- By default, recordings will remain unavailable to students until released.
- Recordings to be made available to students within one week of the teaching activity.

Policy: Common questions
- Staff and students will continue to own performance rights, unless otherwise agreed
- Recordings are supplementary to contact hours
- Policy acknowledges the variability in lecture capture suitability for different teaching activities
- Recorded lectures will not be used for performance evaluation (or any other purposes) without prior discussion and consent

‘Opt-Out’ process
- Online form completed by academic
- Automatically submitted to timetable coordinator
- Request actioned within 10 days (in-line with existing timetable processes)
- External opt-out requests should be facilitated by module leader, or appropriate academic

Request a recording
- You can use the Learn Plus service to record other educational activities, such as seminars, conferences or demonstrations.
- You can also opt back into lecture recording at any point
