NBA Lakers fire Ham coach for 'early elimination of playoffs'

The Los Angeles Lakers, who were eliminated early in the NBA playoffs, fired head coach Davin Ham.

According to the Associated Press and others, the Lakers announced their breakup with Ham on the 4th, saying, "We thank coach Ham for his achievements and efforts over the past two seasons," but "After reviewing the last season, it was the most difficult, but we made the best decision."

The Lakers reached the playoffs through the 2023-2024 season play-in tournament, but were eliminated in the first round after losing 1-4 to the Denver Nuggets.

The Lakers, who were eliminated after losing Game 5 of the first round of the playoffs on the 30th of last month, announced a change of head coach in four days.

While the Lakers are working on appointing a replacement head coach, attention is also being paid to the future of superstars in the team.  사설 토토사이트

LeBron James has a contract term of 2024-2025. However, his options are up for grabs, allowing him to decide whether to extend his contract or not. If he exercises his options, he will play for the Lakers during the 2024-2025 season, and if he does not, he will become a free agent.

James has not made a clear stance. "I haven't given much thought to the future yet. The first thing I should do is to go back home and spend time with my family," he said.

Anthony Davis also has a player option for the 2024-2025 season.

If both James and Davis become FA, the Lakers will have to rebuild the team extensively.
