Most people feel that they possess free will.
Free will is the ability to make a choice between certain behaviours.
Sense of personal responsibility.
Fits in with society's view of personal responsibilities.
Legal system in this country is based on the idea of holding people accountable for their actions.
Free will implies behaviour is random and does not have a cause therefore cannot be predicted.
