MUSIC VIDEO
Mise en scene is always essential in creating a perfect and effective music video. Unlike an audio track, in a music video the viewers do not only hear the song but also watch it. Therefore, the costume, prop, lighting and location should match the genre of the music video.

We would use social networking sites to communicate to our audience as they are young teens who would go on things like Facebook/Blogger on a daily basis.

costume & Props
In music videos, the artist/band or narrator tend to change their costume depending on their genre. If the shots are filmed in various locations, the costume might change to match the setting. A Pop video is more likely to do this , wearing trendy or bright coloured clothing a lot. Whereas in an indie video, the artist is likely to wear dark old clothig, e.g t shirt and jeans. The props they would have are usually their instrument. In a hip hop video, they tend to have alot of props, e.g cars, diamonds etc to show how rich they are. Also their costumes are quite bright with a hoodie, tracksuits and large gold chains.(Press the Down Key On Keyboard)
location & setting
Setting of a music video can vary depending on their genre. Indie or grunge bands sometimes perform in one location, where is is dark, worn down and sometimes isolated (Nirvana-Smells like teen spirit). Grime artist are quite similar as they may perform in the streets , city or their local area (Tinie Tempah-Written in the Starts). Pop singers perform in nice looking places and can often change the location at different beats. (Selena Gomez-Love you like a love song).
