It’s only when we move away from the idea that we need to be perfect that we will heal ourselves and others around us. I could easily pretend I have my act together. But what good would that do? No one learns anything that way.

My onus is never to look good or be considered perfect.

My only mandate is to be authentic and help release others from inauthenticity.

Failure

Let me think about the people who I care about the most, and how when they fail, or disappoint me, I still love them, I still give them chances, and I still see the best in them. Let me extend that generosity to myself.

Let me realize that my past failures of follow through are no indication of my future performance, they're just healthy little fires that are going to warm up my ass.
