EDITING

A dissolve is used from the boys to the girl. This helps to indicate to the audience that the boys are singing to the girls and highlighting the narrative of them finding love. This is very conventional in music videos as the majority tend to have some kind of indication towards love.

A cutaway to the girl is also used. She is seen in a different location to the boys and this portrays the meaning that they are always thinking about her.

camerawork

Close ups are used of the boys faces. This conveys to the audience the emotion they feeling and how are always thinking about the girl and highlighting how "beautiful" she is.

A close up is also used of Harry holding the binoculars. This adds a funny aspect to the music video so that people feel the connection with the artist and are able to feel part of the narrative/concept. This is especially effective because it targets young girls so they therefore feel as though the artists are singing to them making their music video more successful.

CAMERAWORK

An establishing shot is also used at the beginning of the music video to set the location. This is conventional and throughout the video different shots are used of them in the location at different parts such as in the Campervan and then on the beach. This is effective because it makes the viewer feel as though they are on the journey with them.

A wide shot is also used of the boys. This displays the boys performance. They perform using a mixture of hand gestures and eye contact with camera to make the viewer feel as though it is being directed towards them.

The boys are wearing short sleeved tops and casual trousers. This portrays them as being very fashionable and fitting in with the current generation which is conventional in music videos. This is because people want to watch videos that they can associate with.

The setting of the beach is also effective. People associate the beach with a place of relaxation and fun so this helps to support the artists performance.

Additionally the bright lighting creates a happy, summery atmosphere within the video which the audience feel invited towards.
