The Philippines is known to be one of the most LGBT friendly places in the world.

The Philippines is known to be one of the fastest growing countries in terms of HIV cases

The Philippines hosted the largest PRIDE march in Asia.

The Philippines has a strong and passionate mapping community in the country.

MAPBEKS

is an online community of volunteers advocating for LGBT representation and inclusion on various mapping platforms such as OpenStreetMap.

- hosted the largest LGBTQIA+ mapping party in the world (56 partner groups and more than 150+ participants)

- garnered media attention from CNN Philippines and GMA News

- established strong partnerships with the academe, NGOs, community organizations, mapping groups, etc.
