What is an App Service Plan?

• Used to be called web hosting plan
• Your plan determines what you pay
• Can be upgrade/downgrade when needed
• Using the free plan can be limiting 

What is a ressource group

• A container for Azure artefacts
• Only visible in the new portal (gets created behind your back in the old portal)
• Use it to group services together
• Default max 500 per subscription

Ressource groups limitations

• An App Service Plan can only be associated one ressource group
• An App Service can only be associated with one App Service Plan at any given time
• An App Service can be moved between App Service Plans (within the same ressource group and region)
