How does it link to the music video and genre?

My Artist's Costume

• As I will be featuring only mid-shot/close-up shots of my artist, which top he wears is what matters.
• My artist will wear either a checkered shirt or a plain t-shirt. (Similar to Ben Howard)
• This level of simplicity is very generic of the Indie genre as the artist's are more focused on their musical talents, rather than their appearance. The fans love them for their love for music and for the way they portray this love through their creation of their own art. Therefore,what my artist will wear boy-next-door/high street attire as it is conventional of the Indie genre. Also, his audience can relate to him in terms of what he wears.

How Does It Link To The Music Video?

My artist's simplistic costume links to the music video as a sense of simplicity was clearly portrayed through the music video. Our artist was dressed in very simple attire: a shirt, jeans, trainers and simple jacket. We filmed in easy-accessed locations: the park, the street, an alley way. All these simple aspects are portrayed through the album as a lot of simple aspects are also included in the album: the simple black and white colour scheme, the pose, the font, the album title, the artist's stage name and the artist's costume.
