Wait, what means "Generative"?

Generative art refers to any art practice where the artist uses a system, such as a set of natural language rules, a computer program, a machine, or other procedural invention, which is set into motion with some degree of autonomy contributing to or resulting in a completed work of art.

My involvement with Blockchain and Generative Art

  • "Generativemasks" released in August 2021
  • Works inspired by the masks of Taro Okamoto, Tribal culture.
  • Generative art of 10,000 masks, sold for each 0.1 ETH 😱
  • The artist's earnings were donated to the Processing Foundation etc...
  • Including secondary earnings, was used to establish
    Japan Generative Art Foundation
  • I want to be critical of speculative situations and direct the attention that is gathered in a positive direction.
  • Implemented at Shibuya Scramble Crossing in 2023
  • Overlay display of generative art works using AR by image recognition of the screen
  • Collaboration with Bright Moments, a generative art NFT project that tours cities
  • Featuring 9 Asian generative artists

Age and Gender

  • One indicator for getting generative art recognized as a more universal form of artistic expression
  • The issue of gender should be addressed as a matter of urgency
Creating a space for expression and presentation using codes that transcend generations

Finally...

  • Generative Art has the potential to develop as a democratic and creative form of artistic expression in the new society where digital environments are becoming more widespread, but it also has many issues.

  • I want to work on what we need to do to express our code and art, transcending cultural, regional, social, and gender divides.

  • Let's move forward together. 🙏🙏🙏
