Chloe Smith

Chloe has striking big, blue eyes and long blonde hair that is almost "peroxide blonde" at the ends - this could represent the indie/hipster side of the genre, as dip dyed hair is common amongst that culture. She has very nice features that I feel would be best suited for the makeup and style that I have in mind too. 

This model is familiar with PBR&B music (although admittedly she doesn't listen to it). A great majority of the artists found in the genre are mostly black and I want to bring the idea of diversity within this genre - therefore I included Chloe in my selection of models. I wanted to illustrate the idea that there should be no stereotypes or boundaries within music.

Including Chloe in my magazine would bring a change in style and hopefully my audience - which come from a wide range of cultures and age (though specifically young adolescents) - could identify Chloe as a good example of a counter-stereotype.

Sarah Animashaun

Sarah has very good and strong features that easily makes her a good candidate as a PBR&B model. As her friend, Sarah is very fashionable and displays the attributes of an actual model: slender, tall and poised. To add to this, she is also very familiar with the genre, as she listens to it, therefore it is easy for us both (as photographer and model) to understand what needs to be done when it comes to modelling for my music magazine. This model is also highly photogenic - making her fitting for the R&B aesthetic.

This particular model will become the emphasis of my magazine. Her distinct style and looks will hopefully appeal to a great majority of the male demographic; other audiences who are heavily familiar with the genre may also easily identify with Sarah as she displays the stereotypical characteristics of this R&B sub-type genre.

Kobe Jemmott-Macaulay

Kobe has strong facial features and is easily expressive. Kobe usually dresses very stylish too and matches well with the costumes I have in mind, so he is just a natural candidate for this role! His personality will come in handy when it comes to photographing him, as he can adapt to various expressions and poses which I have planned. The model is also familiar with this genre, therefore making it easy for us to create a successful magazine.

My ideal audience should easily identify with him as he displays the stereotypical attributes of an R&B artist; my main inspirations for him derives from artists such as Frank Ocean, Theophilus London and many more...
